You’re Invited!
In celebration of World Environment Day, join us on Zoom at 2:00pm, Sunday 5th June, 2022 as we announce the winners for the Caribbean’s first-ever conservation photography competition - “Nurturing The Wild”!
Serving the public and photographic community of Trinidad and Tobago, this is the first photography competition in the Caribbean to exclusively feature conservation story-telling. Attend this event and see for yourself the power of an image to promote conservation.
Awards shall be presented in three thematic categories -- Biodiversity in Danger, Captured Lives, and Wild and Beautiful -- and shall recognize excellence in both Adult and Youth divisions. Winners shall take home a mix of cash prizes and material rewards, including nature photography trips for youth and a HADCO Grand Prize of $6,000 TT.
The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is “Only One Earth,” which closely aligns with the competition. Through the submitted and winning photos, we are able to see the precious biodiversity of Trinidad and Tobago and how it must be protected.
The “Nurturing The Wild” Photography Competition is co-produced by The Nurture Nature Campaign, The Trinidad and Tobago Photographic Society, and Faraaz Abdool.
